Charge Nurse - Med Surg, Nights

About the Role

Provide and coordinate high-quality nursing care for patients across all age groups, addressing clinical and operational needs during shifts. Act as a resource for staff guidance, communicate patient and departmental information, and assist in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to patient needs.
• Manage operational issues and staffing concerns during shifts.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Serve as a resource for staff guidance and patient care support.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Valid RN license for the relevant state and/or multistate licensure.
• Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and NRP.
• Additional specialty certifications such as AWHONN Fetal Monitoring and PEARS are required.
• Emergency Department nurses must obtain PALS within 30 days if not already certified.
