Charge Nurse - MedSurg, Nights

Role Overview: Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle, manages operational issues during shifts, and provides clinical care when needed based on census demands. Key Responsibilities Ensure high-quality patient care from birth through the lifecycle.Communicate patient care updates, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership.Serve as a resource for staff guidance and assistance. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.Valid RN license in the state and multistate licensure if applicable.Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and NRP.Additional advanced certifications in specialty areas may be required.Experience in emergency, labor and delivery, or pediatric units is preferred, with specific certifications like PEARS and Fetal Monitoring.
