About the role
This position involves coordinating the delivery of high-quality nursing care across all patient age groups and managing operational issues during shifts. It requires providing direct clinical care as needed based on patient census and communicating patient care details, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership. The role serves as a resource and guide for nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring quality patient care and addressing operational issues.
- Serving as a resource and providing guidance to staff.
- Communicating effectively with team members and leadership.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the respective state and/or multistate licensure.
Requirements
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization)
- PALS (if caring for pediatric patients)
- Additional specialty certifications may be required based on unit specifics.
