Charge Capture Representative Associate

This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Opportunities at Optum, in strategic partnership with Allina Health. As an Optum employee, you will provide support to the Allina Health account.

Responsibilities

• Ensures charges are captured in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Reviews, calculates, and enters charges in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Processes and completes charge entry.
• Ensures charges are compliant with federal regulations.
• May assist with audits.
• Works with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services.
• Handle resolution / inquiries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
• Full time, Monday - Friday, during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC experience
• Billing experience
• Business office experience
• Clinical or administrative support background
• Experience working in a metric-driven work environment
• Experience working within the health care industry and with health care insurance
• Experience with Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort / filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
