Chaplain Resident

About the role

The Chaplain Resident provides compassionate emotional and spiritual care to patients, families, and staff as part of a 24/7 chaplaincy service. They participate in a dual-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program to develop pastoral care competencies.

Responsibilities

• Engages in supervision, peer learning, and ongoing professional development as part of the CPE program.
• Conducts pastoral assessments and responds to referrals in a timely manner.
• Documents care accurately and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams.
• Supports departmental activities, on-call coverage, and scheduling.
• Demonstrates organizational values and commitment to continuous learning and spiritual care excellence.

Requirements

• Required: Bachelors Degree in counseling, theology, ethics, or pastoral care.
• PREFERRED: Masters Degree in counseling, theology, ethics, or pastoral care.
• Minimum 1 unit of CPE completed.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience required.

Pay

Pay Range: $16.70 - $25.53 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
