Chaplain Resident

About the role

The Chaplain Resident provides compassionate emotional and spiritual care to patients, families, and staff as part of a 24/7 chaplaincy service. They participate in a dual-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program to develop pastoral care competencies.

Responsibilities

• Engages in supervision, peer learning, and ongoing professional development as part of the CPE program.
• Conducts pastoral assessments and responds to referrals in a timely manner.
• Documents care accurately and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams.
• Supports departmental activities, on-call coverage, and scheduling.
• Demonstrates organizational values and commitment to continuous learning and spiritual care excellence.

Requirements

• Required: Bachelors Degree in counseling, theology, ethics, or pastoral care.
• Preferred: Masters Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 1 unit of CPE completed.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience required.

Pay

Pay Range: $16.70- $25.53 per hour
