Chaplain Resident
About the role
The Chaplain Residents work as a core part of an inter-faith spiritual care team, supporting persons of diverse socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds while adhering to hospital and departmental policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, guests and staff at the Raleigh campus of WakeMed Health & Hospitals.
- Participate in educational seminars.
- Complete written requirements assigned by the ACPE Certified Educators who make up WakeMed’s Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) faculty.
- Engage in the integration of theology into praxis, developing a self-reflective practice and increasing self-awareness, knowledge and skills related to health care chaplaincy.
Requirements
- Three months of clinical spiritual care required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
