Chaplain, Regional Culture Specialist
About Riverstone Logistics
Riverstone Logistics (RLX) is a big and bulky supply chain powerhouse delivering seamless final mile, middle mile, warehousing, fulfillment, and storage solutions through a nationally integrated platform. Founded in 2017 by five partners who believed logistics could be built around something bigger than moving freight, we began with furniture delivery and grew into a nationwide provider serving complex supply chains across the United States. We are a purpose-driven company. We exist to use our God-given talents and opportunities to love our neighbors, serve our communities, and improve our industry. That purpose shapes how we lead our teams, how we partner with our customers, and how we take ownership of every delivery.
Role Overview
Mission: The Chaplain, Culture Program Coordinator exists to care for the spiritual and personal well-being of Extra Milers across an assigned territory of Riverstone locations. This role builds genuine, trust-based relationships — from the warehouse floor to regional leadership — representing RLX’s Purpose, Beliefs, and Principles and helping our people thrive as whole people.
Core Objective
To drive cultural health and spiritual care across the Extra Miler community by building authentic relationships, facilitating RLX’s Living Waters programs, and contributing to the overall purpose-driven culture that makes Riverstone a place people want to work and grow.
Who You Are ("The Ideal Candidate")
You are a pastoral leader who genuinely loves people and finds meaning in walking alongside them through the highs and lows of daily life. You don’t need a formal church setting to do ministry — you’re comfortable in a warehouse, on a job site, or in a one-on-one conversation over a quick cup of coffee. You show up consistently, listen well, and earn trust over time. You understand that spiritual care in a workplace context means meeting people where they are — not where you wish they were. You hold confidences with integrity, bring warmth without being intrusive, and represent RLX’s Purpose in how you carry yourself every day. You are organized enough to manage a territory, accountable to a rhythm of visits and reporting, and connected enough to the broader RLX culture that you can serve as a genuine bridge between our people and our mission.
Key Characteristics
- You build trust before you build programs. Relationships come first in this role, and you know that showing up consistently over time is how genuine care gets established.
- You are an active listener who listens to understand, not to respond. Extra Milers at all levels feel heard and respected in your presence.
- You bring genuine spiritual depth and ministerial experience. You are comfortable leading, facilitating, or simply sitting with someone in a hard moment.
- You are culturally grounded, understanding and authentically representing RLX’s Purpose (Love. Serve. Improve.) and its Core Beliefs, and you naturally connect our people to those anchors.
- You are operationally disciplined, managing your territory, your schedule, and your follow-up with rigor. You document interactions in the Culture Context Database and communicate proactively with leadership.
- You handle sensitive personal, spiritual, and situational information with discretion and care, always.
Essential Duties And Key Responsibilities
- Make regular, in-person visits to assigned territory locations to build authentic relationships with Extra Milers across all levels — from the warehouse floor to regional leadership within Micro-Enterprises.
- Carry out routine follow-up calls and check-ins with Extra Milers as a natural extension of those relationships.
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual support to individuals navigating personal, professional, or family challenges.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality in all pastoral interactions while escalating situations involving safety or urgent need through proper channels.
- Aid in the leadership of Living Waters programs, including but not limited to Life Groups and Vision Trips.
- Communicate regularly with Micro-Enterprise leaders to ensure chaplaincy efforts are achieving strategic cultural impact.
- Maintain an active engagement with the Culture department’s meeting cadence and stay informed on broader Riverstone developments.
- Provide timely inputs to the Culture Context Database following pertinent interactions with Extra Milers.
- Communicate relevant observations, trends, and needs to the Head of Culture in support of overall cultural health initiatives.
Required Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
- An associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Theology, Ministry, Counseling, or a related field — or equivalent professional pastoral experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a pastoral, ministerial, or chaplaincy role with a proven ability in active listening and spiritual leadership.
- Genuine alignment with and personal commitment to RLX’s Purpose: to use God-given talents and opportunities to love our neighbors, serve our communities, and improve our industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — written, verbal, and conversational — with the ability to connect meaningfully with people across a wide range of backgrounds and roles.
- Strong personal integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-directed with strong time management and accountability; able to structure and manage a territory-based schedule independently.
- Working familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and comfort learning new systems (e.g., Culture Context Database).
- Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory of RLX locations.
