About the role

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, apply today! This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and obtain patient history
  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
  • Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
  • Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
  • Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
  • Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers
  • Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents

Qualifications

  • Experience in critical care preferred
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Illinois
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays. Pay $23.20 - $43.70/hour. This pay band is dependent on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Competitive Shift Differentials: Earn more with our shift differentials!

  • Weekday Night (Mon-Fri 6p to 8a): $4.00
  • Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8a to 6p): $4.00
  • Weekend Night (Sat-Sun 6p to 8a): $5.50

Pay
