Veterinary Technician - Critical Care

The role of Veterinary Technician at BluePearl Pet Hospital is an exciting, fast-paced opportunity that allows you to utilize your skills and expand your expertise under the mentorship of talented veterinary professionals.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing advanced medicine to patients
• Show a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers
• Fulfill a sense of gratification from nursing critically ill patients back to health and reuniting them with their pet parents

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
• Current certification as a Veterinary Technician
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about animal care and patient recovery

Schedule

Hours vary based on department needs, but typically include shifts ranging from 8 hours to 12 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.
