About the role
Provides anesthesia services under medical supervision for diverse patient populations, including neonatal to geriatric, during various surgical and obstetrical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients pre-operatively and collaborates with anesthesiologists to select appropriate anesthesia.
- Administers anesthesia, monitors intraoperative and postoperative patient conditions, and manages emergencies such as airway issues and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Operates and maintains anesthesia equipment, prepares drugs, and ensures safe procedures.
- Precepts nurse anesthetist students and maintains compliance with policies, regulations, and documentation standards.
- Maintains professional and courteous interactions with patients, staff, and the public.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and valid California RN License.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NPI number.
- Experience with extensive monitoring, fluid, blood, and electrolyte management across age groups.
- Strong technical, clinical, communication, and documentation skills within California scope of practice.
Schedule
Will work at multiple locations with rotating weekends and holidays.
