Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Full Time

About the role

Under medical supervision, administers general and regional anesthesia for various surgical and obstetrical procedures across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric. Responsibilities include airway management, fluid and homeostasis maintenance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management. Ensures patient safety through equipment checks, drug preparation, and intraoperative and postoperative evaluation. Collaborates with surgical teams, maintains accurate controlled substance records, and precepts student nurse anesthetists. Adheres to organizational policies, standards of care, and legal requirements.

Qualifications and skills

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and RN license in California
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience with major procedures involving extensive monitoring and fluid management for diverse age groups
• Strong technical, clinical, professional, and communication skills
• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, supplies, and documentation standards

Key duties

• Evaluate patients pre-operatively and select appropriate anesthesia plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia, respond to emergencies, and ensure patient stability
• Communicate with surgical team regarding patient needs and concerns
• Perform equipment checks, drug preparation, and maintain safety standards
• Postoperative patient assessment and documentation
• Maintain organizational compliance, proper documentation, and equipment maintenance
