About the role
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services under medical supervision.
Responsibilities
- Administer general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups.
- Manage airway, fluid balance, homeostasis, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator care.
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively and select appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Monitor intraoperative and postoperative patient conditions, ensuring stability.
- Prepare and administer anesthesia drugs, check equipment, and maintain supplies.
- Communicate with surgical teams and document care accurately.
- Teach student nurse anesthetists and maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- California RN and CRNA licensure, along with ACLS, BLS, and National Certification.
- Experience with complex anesthesia procedures for diverse patient populations.
- Strong technical, clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Relevant experience and knowledge that enhance clinical practice and patient safety.
