Role Overview
Provides anesthesia services under medical supervision for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating patients pre-operatively and selecting appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Monitoring and managing patients intraoperatively and postoperatively to ensure stability.
- Administering anesthesia, preparing drugs, and checking equipment for safety.
- Responding to emergencies, including airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and controlled substances compliance.
- Teaching student nurse anesthetists and collaborating with surgical teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia educational program.
- Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Registered Nurse in California.
- Certifications include BLS, ACLS, and National Provider Identifier.
- Experience with major procedures, extensive monitoring, and patient management across age groups.
- Strong technical, clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
Full-time role requiring rotation through weekends and holidays, with on-call responsibilities.
