Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Full Time

About the role

This position involves administering general and regional anesthesia under medical supervision for diverse surgical, obstetrical, and procedural cases, across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients. Responsibilities encompass airway management, fluid and homeostasis maintenance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients pre-operatively and review medical charts.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists to select appropriate anesthesia based on patient assessments.
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and postoperatively to ensure stability.
  • Prepare and administer anesthesia, check equipment, and maintain supplies.
  • Manage controlled substances and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Supervise student nurse anesthetists and uphold organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with surgical teams and patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Perform other duties within licensure as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • Valid California Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and RN licenses.
  • Certifications include ACLS, BLS, and CRNA national certification.
  • Experience in anesthesia for major procedures and extensive monitoring.
  • Skills in charting, equipment management, and staff education.
  • Familiarity with pediatric, obstetric, and emergency procedures, especially recent OB experience.
