Central Station Operator 4pm-12am

About the role

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Central Station Operator to join our fire business unit.

Responsibilities

• Answer burglar and fire alarm signals received via computer
• Effectively dispatch emergency alarms
• Coordinate activities with police and fire departments during alarms
• Place alarms in and out of test mode while technicians are servicing alarms
• Notify customers of alarm, trouble, and supervisory signals on subscribers’ premises
• Monitor all types of alarm signals including but not limited to surveillance videos
• Data entry
• Effectively communicate with customers
• Multitask and manage priorities
• Contact supervisor by telephone to report irregularities and obtain further instructions

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED
• Customer Service Experience
• Ability to handle multi phone lines and high volume of incoming calls
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work both Saturday and Sundays

Qualifications

• Experience as a central station operator
• Ability to use judgement and decision-making skills to evaluate situations
• Ability to work under stressful situations
• Actively listen and communicate effectively through clear speech and hearing

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $20-25 per hour. The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
