About the role

The Center Supervisor, CFS Vacancy CE-78-26, is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the activities and operations of the Head Start Program Centers under the direction of an assigned Director II. The position ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and applicable State regulations, trains and evaluates the performance of assigned staff.

Requirements / Qualifications

• California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or higher level permit.
• An Associate Degree in Child development or related field, including:
• 3 units infant/toddler development (if serving infants and toddlers)
• 3 units adult supervision/administration
• A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is desirable.
• A minimum of three years teaching experience in a preschool or infant/toddler program is preferred.

• Additional documents required of the selected applicant prior to employment: DOJ/FBI/CACI Clearance, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance, Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance & DMV Pull Notice, Mandated Reporter Training.
• Mandated Reporter Training is required within the first six weeks of employment.
• Licenses and other requirements: California Child Care: Preventative Health and Safety Certificate of Completion (Includes Pediatric CPR/First Aid), Child Care Center Part II: Operations and Record Keeping Orientation, California Child Development Site Supervisor or higher level permit. Must provide own transportation - may use own vehicle or other method of transportation selected by the employee. Some positions may require bilingual skills in a designated second language.
