Responsibilities
Affords assistance to the physician in performing invasive cardiac procedures.
Displays comprehensive understanding of all Cath Lab equipment and maintains it.
Administers both direct and indirect patient care to those undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) program
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) program
Work Experience
Requires 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
Licenses and Certifications
- Based on the type of program completed, one of the following is required:
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
- RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS
