About the Role
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you’ll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. You’ll guide patients and families through their journey with both skill and compassion, ensuring precision in every step of treatment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
- Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
- Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
- Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
- Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- One of the following credentials must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date:
- (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
- (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse
- (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist
- Paramedic
- (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
- (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist
- (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
- (ARRT-R) Radiography
- (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
- Vocational School Graduate, or High School Graduate / GED
