About the Role

The Casualty Consultant provides claim strategy, consulting, and advocacy services to dedicated clients. This role involves maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts while delivering high-level, strategic claim consulting. The Consultant supports growth, innovation, and ensures execution of claim consulting services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workflow from initial intake to resolution of claim matters within the Master Insurance Program, specializing in real estate.
  • Gather, organize, summarize, index, and maintain documents from various sources.
  • Ensure quality and consistency in executing high-level claim services.
  • Appropriately utilize all required systems.
  • Coordinate claims with other business segments as necessary.
  • Collaborate to continually improve quality and innovation.
  • Evaluate data to assess claim programs and identify solutions for improving quality and performance.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork to produce comprehensive solutions.
  • Maintain direct relationships with key clients, including Risk, Legal, and Property Management teams.
  • Serve as a visible sign of professionalism and direction for the practice.
  • Respond to due diligence requests for disclosure of claims/litigated matters.
  • Contribute to claim reporting analytics.
  • Perform Origami data entry and utilization.
  • Provide cross-line claims assistance with other lines (e.g., General Liability, Environmental, Professional Lines).

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree required; a business-related field is highly preferred. Additional education levels are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Liability Claims-related position, with prior experience at an insurance carrier or third-party administrator preferred.
  • Liability claim experience within real estate and hospitality required.
  • Knowledge of claim handling, processes, and procedures.
  • Understanding of laws, legal codes, procedures, and processes involving insurance.
  • Ability to analyze data, provide concise conclusions, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Versatility in working with different personalities and handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, and negotiating alternative solutions.
  • Effective communication with senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based applications.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills with internal and external executives.
  • Project management skills.
  • Understanding of company products, services, global network, and industry practices.
  • Understanding of the process and value of basic data analytics and benchmarking.
  • Travel may be required.

Pay

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range, including business requirements, prior experience, current skills, and geographical location.

Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
