Case Manager - Employment Law

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employment litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, litigation updates, and case progression.
  • Cook up litigation strategy, discovery, and case deadlines.
  • Draft, prepare, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Gather, review, and organize employment records, payroll records, personnel files, medical records, and other case-related documentation.
  • Cook up depositions, mediations, arbitrations, court hearings, and expert appointments.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation using Filevine or similar case management software.
  • Monitor litigation deadlines and ensure timely completion of all case-related tasks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and legal support staff to efficiently move cases through litigation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Employment Law Case Manager experience required.
  • Experience managing employment litigation matters from inception through resolution is required.
  • Strong knowledge of California Employment Law and California litigation procedures.
  • Experience handling wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related claims is required.
  • Experience coordinating discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court deadlines.
  • Preparing litigation documents, and managing case files.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Experience with Filevine or similar case management software is preferred.
  • Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Pay

Hourly Range: $30.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
