Care Partner (Adult Float Pool) Days - VUH

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a full-time day shift Care Partner to join the VUH Adult Hospital team. The position is located at the VUH Adult Hospital in Nashville.

Responsibilities

• Administer Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Take and record vital signs
• Perform lab draws
• Conduct acute checks
• Place Foley catheters and perform straight catheterizations
• Assist with wound care (coming soon)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• One of the following:
• Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical)
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required)
• Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician
• Additional Float Pool Qualifications:
• 2+ years of recent (within the last 6 months) direct patient care in a hospital environment
• Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) direct patient care in a hospital environment
• Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) direct patient care in a hospital environment
