Care Partner (Adult Float Pool) Nights - VUH

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking Care Partners to join the VUH Adult Hospital team. The position is located at the VUH Adult Hospital in Nashville and operates on a full-time, night shift basis.

Responsibilities

• Administer Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Take and record vital signs
• Perform lab draws
• Conduct acute checks
• Place Foley catheters and perform straight catheterizations
• Assist with wound care (coming soon)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• One of the following:
• Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical)
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required)
• Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician
• Additional Float Pool Qualifications: 2+ years of recent (within the last 6 months) direct patient care in a hospital environment. The successful candidate will have current experience in Med/Surg and/or ICU.
