About the role
Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Care Partner for the VUH Adult Hospital in Nashville. The position is a full-time day shift role, rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Administer Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Take and record vital signs
- Perform lab draws
- Conduct acute checks
- Place Foley catheters and perform straight catheterizations
- Assist with wound care
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical)
- One of the following:
- Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required)
- Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) experience as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician
- Two plus years of recent (within the last six months) direct patient care in a hospital environment
- Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) experience in Med/Surg and/or ICU

Schedule
The position is a full-time day shift role, running from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, with three 12-hour shifts per week and a weekend requirement. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs.
