About the Role
Assists physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests on cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. Operates x-ray and physiological equipment, supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and maintains equipment and records results.
Responsibilities
- Supports physicians during procedures, operating specialized equipment and adjusting technical factors as needed.
- Monitors patient vital signs, ensures radiation safety, and maintains sterile techniques.
- Operates and maintains physiologic and cardiac cath equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Assists during catheterization procedures, administering media, and monitoring patients.
- Completes documentation, manages supplies, and disinfects equipment after use.
- Performs general office duties and other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or related experience preferred; one year catheterization experience preferred.
- Valid ARRT-R radiography certification and Oregon radiologic technologist license required.
- CPR/BLS certification and ACLS/ARC-ALS certification required.
Skills
- Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, equipment operation, and infection control practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, follow safety protocols, and work collaboratively with medical teams.
