About the role
Assists physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by performing invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic tests. Operates x-ray and physiologic equipment, supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintains equipment, and records test results.
Responsibilities
- Supports physicians during procedures, operating specialized equipment and ensuring patient safety through proper techniques.
- Monitors and records patient vital signs, adheres to radiation safety standards, and maintains sterile and infection control procedures.
- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots cardiovascular equipment such as C-Arms and angiographic injectors.
- Assists in administering opaque media via catheter or injection, and documents procedures accurately.
- Performs equipment cleaning, stocking, and general office duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred); one year catheterization experience (preferred).
- Required licenses include ARRT-R, Oregon Radiologic Technologist License, BLS/CPR, ACLS or ARC-ALS.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, equipment operation, patient safety, and infection control.
