About the Role

Seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for inpatient cardiothoracic surgical coverage at a Level 1 trauma center. The role is on-site, with no prescriptive authority required, and is a non-governmental position.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous care for approximately 10 patients daily during weekday day shifts, with potential call duties including 24-hour call.
• Manage patient documentation via EPIC EMR system, ensuring high-quality care in a busy surgical environment.
• Cover inpatient surgical cases, manage patient care, and document all encounters accurately.
• Operate within established protocols in a modern facility serving diverse age groups.

Requirements

• Must be board certified; no recent graduates accepted.
• Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage inpatient caseload.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Flexibility for call responsibilities is desirable.
