Cardiac Cath Lab Assistant Nurse Manager

About the role

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Assistant Nurse Manager. This is a great leadership opportunity with benefits eligible, 10-hour shifts, and no nights, weekends, holidays, or call.

Responsibilities

• Manages individuals including hiring, training, assigning work, managing and evaluating performance, and conducting professional development plans.
• Ensures productivity and actions of the group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department.
• Supports the review of staff hours worked vs scheduled hours and determines appropriate disposition if there is a variation.
• Performs and approves daily payroll updates, reconciles time cards, bonus tracking, and coding approval.
• Prepares, coordinates, and executes all staff communications; prepares huddle agendas and leads meetings.
• Determines staffing needs; makes nursing assignments and assigns overtime.
• Recommends effective annual increases; interviews staff for open positions; evaluates and conducts performance reviews as assigned; drafts and issues corrective actions/coaching; follows up regarding any disciplinary action to determine compliance.
• Responsible for staff productivity and the overall operational goals of the department.
• Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations on areas of improvement if needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab Experience preferred, or at least 2 years of Procedural or Critical Care Nursing Experience.
• BLS/ACLS Required or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Accept BSN/MSN candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 2-5 years of Supervisor Experience.
