CAPPS Financials Accounts Payable Analyst (Remote)
About the role
Pinnacle Method Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Analyst to join the CAPPS Financials team in Austin, TX. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with premier employers and contribute to the success of the CAPPS Program.
Responsibilities
- Performing highly advanced consultative services and functional assistance work related to supporting the CAPPS Program.
- Provide functional CAPPS Accounts Payable (AP) module subject matter expertise, including coordination, issue resolution, configuration, maintenance, business process leadership, change management, enhancements, testing, integrations, compliance, and policy alignment.
- Lead training and user support, manage reporting and analytics, release management, and patch releases.
- Manage technical skillsets for tools such as Application Designer, SQR, BI Publisher, SQL, PeopleSoft security, and more.
- Maintain and monitor CAPPS AP batch jobs, including job schedules, execution, failure detection, validation, dependency management, performance tuning, documentation, and communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy personnel, analysts, agencies, and vendors, ensuring compliance and timely updates.
- Support project-level coordination and participation, including understanding and accounting for interdependence on legacy systems, managing legislative changes, and third-party integrations.
Requirements
While not specified, candidates should have a strong background in accounts payable, technical skills with PeopleSoft, and experience with CAPPS Financials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
- Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft applications, particularly in the Accounts Payable module.
- Experience with CAPPS Financials and similar financial systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
