Calibration Technician I NC - 2nd Shift

About the role

As a Calibration Technician I NC with PCB Piezotronics, you will perform a variety of basic tests on manufactured products by following written procedures, under close supervision. You will utilize basic electrical and mechanical test equipment such as meters, pressure pumps, dead weight testers, shakers, and test chambers. You will promote teamwork, cooperation, and commitment to 'Total Customer Satisfaction' among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine electrical, mechanical and environmental tests and calibrations on less complex PCB products.
  • Understand and use proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
  • Follow established written procedures; write legibly, sign and date traveler when steps are completed.
  • Maintain that all products meet established test and/or calibration specifications and notify Leadership when they do not.
  • Ensure that test equipment calibration stickers are not expired before using and notify Leadership if expired or close to expiration; communicate with Leadership concerning any problems with product testing equipment.
  • Follow safety rules and keep area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Two-year technical degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent.
  • Training in-house, on the job, specific to product-line.
  • Entry-level experience.
  • Observes all safety precautions per department guidelines when operating test equipment especially when handling liquid nitrogen, operating testing ovens and when performing ballistic tests.
  • Basic computer skills required in operating calibration software.
  • Travel Requirement: As needed.
