About the role

Provides expertise to analyze technical learning needs for a business or function and then designs and delivers training solutions. Impacts the team’s ability to meet service, quality, and timeliness objectives. Works under functional policy objectives and is responsible for regular consultation with line and/or business management. Supports decision-making on key topics. Requires a high degree of evaluative judgment to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes learning needs and designs training solutions for a company or function.
  • Focuses on technical training critical to a specific company or function; leadership learning is excluded as it falls under HR.
  • Encompasses training leads and coordinators whose primary task is to deliver training content or make logistical arrangements for training programs.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within the discipline.
  • May require strong business acumen and is expected to influence strategy within the area, including resource control and policy formulation.
  • Evaluates straightforward internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Stays informed of industry trends that may affect the work.
  • Uses a high degree of judgment to make decisions and solve complex tasks or problems affecting the function.
  • Assesses the quality of information provided and asks relevant questions of stakeholders.
  • Proposes new solutions for problems outside established parameters and is able to create and deliver recommendations.
  • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside the function to inform decisions.
  • Can lead function teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or moderate complexity.
  • Communicates complex concepts and can influence others’ options on specific topics.
  • Guides others to adopt a different point of view.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience.
  • Knowledge level comparable to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Proven ability to lead programs/projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Documented project management skills.

Pay

The pay range for this position is between $123,700.00 and $206,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
