About the role

Provides expertise in analyzing technical learning needs for a business or function, then designs and delivers training solutions. Interprets internal and external business issues and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers expertise in learning-needs analysis and designs training solutions for a company or function.
  • Focuses on essential technical training for a specific business or function; excludes leadership learning, which falls under human resources.
  • Includes trainers and coordinators whose primary task is to provide training content or arrange logistics for training programs.
  • Requires deep specialized knowledge and/or extensive expertise within their discipline.
  • May require strong business acumen and is expected to influence strategy within their domain, including resource control and policy formulation.
  • Leads, as applicable, functional teams or projects with limited resource needs, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Explains complex concepts and can influence colleagues’ views on particular topics; encourages others to consider different perspectives.
  • Impacts the team’s ability to meet service, quality, and timing objectives; tasks are subject to functional policy goals.
  • Regularly advises function and/or business leadership and supports decision-making on important matters.
  • Exercises high discretion to achieve expected results; evaluates information quality and asks relevant questions of stakeholders.
  • Solves problems with innovative solutions beyond established parameters and makes recommendations using internal and external resources outside their function.

Qualifications

  • Outside the U.S.: Requires advanced functional experience and digital audio workstation proficiency; equivalent to a master’s degree from an accredited university (or a bachelor’s with relevant experience).
  • U.S.: Requires a master’s degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma/GED with at least six years of relevant experience).
