Business & Systems Analyst
Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and user-focused PLM Business & Systems Analyst to serve as the critical bridge between our product development teams (R&D, Quality, Supply Chain) and our technical IT developers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to translate complex needs into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs).
- Map cross-system processes spanning PLM and SAP, and integrate global compliance regulations into workflows.
- Conduct system testing and communicate system changes as tangible end-user benefits.
- Enforce master data management (MDM) rules, define ETL data mapping requirements, and translate end-of-life and archiving requirements into actionable system rules.
- Partner with Data Stewards to prioritize data cleansing efforts.
- Act as the "bilingual" bridge between IT and business teams. Drive user adoption by updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and advocate for a "data-first" culture to prepare for future AI utilization.
- Manage project plans for system enhancements, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and consistently deliver high-quality system enhancements, test scripts, and process maps on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience acting as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Process Owner for enterprise PLM, ERP, or R&D systems (e.g., LIMS, Dassault, Siemens, Centric, SAP PLM, Veeva).
- Experience writing comprehensive BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
- Familiarity with data governance principles or ETL mapping, and system validation processes (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Experience in gathering requirements, system implementation, and end-to-end software testing.
- Understanding of the Product Development lifecycle and how product data feeds into downstream supply chain systems (e.g., understanding SAP terms like ROH, HALB, WIP, SKU).
- Familiarity with data governance principles, ETL mapping, and system validation processes (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11).
- Capable of developing efficient, scalable solutions to complex historical process issues.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to mediate between highly technical and non-technical groups.
- Strong relationship-building skills, capable of driving change and enforcing data rules diplomatically without direct authority.
Compensation And Benefits
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $121,000.00 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
