Responsibilities
- Assist with resident admissions, financial records, and account management.
- Support the Medicaid and Medicare application and billing processes.
- Aid in resident trust funds and petty cash management.
- Maintain accurate resident financial files and documentation.
- Work with residents and families regarding insurance coverage, billing, and financial questions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
- Assist with accounts receivable, collections, and payment posting.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth admission and discharge process.
- Perform other business office duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare, or business office preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
