Business Manager (Food Service) NF-03

About the role

This position is located at Detroit Arsenal, Michigan. Duties include managing a food service program within a business activity, developing, recommending, and enforcing operating procedures, planning and managing all phases of the food service program, conducting customer surveys, reviewing usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities, and revenue improvements, and supervising assigned staff.

Requirements

• Conditions of employment: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactory completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) check is required. Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, including a Tier 1 background investigation, is required. The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.
• Education: This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pricing methods and internal controls.
• Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level.
• Possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain the certificate within three months of appointment.
