About the Role

Manages a Food Service Program within a business activity. Develops, recommends, and enforces operating procedures. Plans and manages all phases of food service programs where dining and catering are a substantial basis of the operation. Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage and sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities, and revenue improvements. Supervises assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification (within the first six months of employment) from an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs; a physical will be required.

Qualifications

  • Resumes must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities pertinent to the position.
  • Work experience or education must be directly related to the duties to be performed.
  • Must possess knowledge of pricing methods and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level.
  • Must possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain it within three months of appointment. This experience must be clearly reflected on your resume.

Area of Consideration

This job is open to candidates who live within a 50-mile radius of Detroit Arsenal, Michigan.
