Assistant Business Manager (Food Service) NF-02
This position is located at Anniston, Alabama.
United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties
- Assists the Business Manager in directing the operations and supervision of multiple food service facilities, with up to 12 employees in different locations.
- Sets the pace and works with employees.
- Checks work in progress to ensure compliance with established methods.
- Orders and receives supplies, stores and stocks supply items in all assigned facilities.
- Completes cash reports and makes daily deposits.
- Responsible for cleaning, inventory, stocking and organizing each facility on a daily basis.
- Performs food service and cashiering duties as required.
- Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
- Orients new employees to work situations, compliance with health and safety standards, proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
- Provides information to workers regarding procedures, policies, written instructions and other work directives.
- Occasionally may be required to work in any of the food service facilities when necessary.
- Provides administrative support as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- The ability to obtain (within first three months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required (i.e., ServSafe etc.).
- A food handler's certificate is required.
- Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty.
- Work requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

- Must have cash handling experience to include direct handling of cash items and use of cash accountability control methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred are those candidates that have experience in supervising and training staff.
