We're seeking a New Business Representative for our Banking & Wealth (B&W) segment. This role involves forging paths to new clients and prospecting traditional banks, credit unions, wealth-tech platforms, and digital brokerages.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a key member of the Plaid GTM Team, supporting several Account Executives hunting new business within the Banking & Wealth verticals.
- Liaising with Marketing to provide feedback on B&W-specific campaigns and designing new outbound efforts.
- Identifying prospects and building pipelines through outbound campaigns targeted at decision-makers in digital banking, wealth management, and brokerage operations.
- Helping new clients get started with Plaid and answering questions about our products, specifically around account funding, investment data, and open banking connectivity.
- Identifying the most promising sub-verticals (e.g., credit unions, RIA platforms, digital brokerages) to help drive increased revenue opportunity.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in pipeline development and/or sales (preferably at a SaaS or Fintech company).
- Leading high-level conversations with banking and wealth management stakeholders.
- The ability to evangelize Plaid’s value proposition in order to assess buying interest from traditional and modern financial institutions alike.
- The ability to thrive in a high customer volume, time-sensitive environment.
- A relentless mindset and unwillingness to quit.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce.com or other CRM.
- Experience working with customers and explaining technical products.
- A strong interest in the financial services industry, market trends, and technical products; a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
- An excitement to work in a high-growth environment and to help build processes and tools as needed.
- A desire to get (more) technical and the ability to learn the ins and outs of Plaid's APIs (specifically our Investments, Auth, and Identity products).
