Business Development Representative
About the role
The Proofpoint Business Development Team is seeking ambitious winners with a proven track record of high-ranking achievement. This role involves managing inbound call and chat volumes, qualifying potential new customers, and scheduling product demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound call volume coming from various sales/marketing phone numbers and assist with sales/support inquiries
- Manage inbound chat tool from the corporate website and assist with sales/support inquiries
- Identify, contact, and qualify potential new customers
- Work closely with the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team to schedule product demonstrations between sales representatives and potential customers
- Use Salesforce.com and other sales tools to identify leads and opportunities
Requirements
- We are looking for an expressive speaker with the ability to quickly and clearly articulate highly technical information
- A detail-oriented individual with strong time management and organizational skills
- An innovative thinker who enjoys creative problem solving in a changing environment
- A collaborative team player who will share sales tactics and learn them from others
- A self-directed individual with a strong sense of personal ownership and accountability
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems is a plus
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems
