Business Development Representative
About the role
CBTax is seeking proactive, driven and ambitious Business Development Representatives to join the New York City office. This is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for recent college graduates who want to dive into the world of business development for a global consultancy, who will thrive in a high-performance environment. You will be fully supported with training and gain valuable experience with prospecting, lead generation, client engagement and the opportunity to shadow Sales Directors and leadership in closing deals. There will be clear paths for progression into more senior Business Development roles within CBTax.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential clients through strategic outreach and targeted sales efforts.
- Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and networking activities to generate new business.
- Qualify leads and book high-value client meetings for senior sales consultants.
- Develop a deep understanding of R&D tax credits to effectively communicate our value proposition.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead-generation strategies and optimise conversion rates.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in our Salesforce system to track progress and outcomes.
- Achieve and exceed sales activity targets, unlocking additional performance-based rewards.

Benefits
CBTax offers an attractive compensation package including up to $60,000 basic per annum + uncapped commission (OTE $85,000 - $100,000 per annum).
