Business Development Rep Associate
About the role
Square is seeking energetic, motivated professionals with strong business acumen and natural sales instincts. This role involves building the Sales Development organization, focusing on outbounding to potential sellers and promoting Square’s offerings. You will work closely with the Sales team to identify and engage new merchants, becoming an expert in Square’s products and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles
- Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing, and social selling
- Promote urgency through a solutions-based sales approach, identifying challenges and providing targeted value
- Document and track qualified opportunities to pass onto the Account Executive team
- Use a data-driven approach to outbound sales, incorporating prospecting, email communication, and calling at scale
Requirements
You must reside within 50 miles of the posted office location. Key requirements include:

Starting pay varies based on location and job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. For U.S. roles, pay ranges are as follows:
- Zone A: $79,768.00
- Zone B: $74,152.00
- Zone C: $70,018.00
- Zone D: $63,700.00
Schedule
The schedule for this role is typically full-time, with occasional travel to meet with clients.
