Business Development Rep Associate

About the role

Square is seeking a high-energy, motivated professional with strong business insight and natural sales instincts to join our Restaurant or Generalist team. This position will help build our Sales Development organization, focusing on outbounding to prospective sellers and promoting the value of Square for their business.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles
• Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing, and social selling
• Promote urgency through a solutions-based sales approach, identifying challenges with businesses and providing targeted value around how Square can help
• Use a data-driven approach to outbound sales that incorporates prospecting, email communication, and calling at scale
• Work with the Sales team to find new merchants that fit the Square ecosystem
• Document and track qualified opportunities to pass onto the Account Executive team

Requirements

You must reside within 50 miles of the posted office location. You should have:

• A desire to grow your career in sales
• A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• Personal leadership, authenticity, team player, energy richness, and curiosity
• Comfort with operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Experience in sales or customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Pay

Starting pay varies based on location and job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. For U.S. roles, pay ranges from $63,700.00 to $79,768.00, depending on the zone designated by the cost of labor index for the geographic area. Zone A: $79,768.00, Zone B: $74,152.00, Zone C: $70,018.00, Zone D: $63,700.00. Amounts listed above include target variable compensation.
