Business Development Rep Associate

About the role

Square is seeking a high-energy, motivated professional with strong business insight and natural sales instincts to join our Restaurant or Generalist team. This role will help build our Sales Development organization, focusing on outbounding to prospective sellers and promoting Square’s value to their businesses.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles
• Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing, and social selling
• Promote urgency through a solutions-based sales approach, identifying challenges with businesses and providing targeted value around how Square can help
• Use a data-driven approach to outbound sales that incorporates prospecting, email communication, and calling at scale
• Work with the Sales team to find new merchants that fit the Square ecosystem
• Document and track qualified opportunities to pass onto the Account Executive team

Requirements

You must reside within 50 miles of the posted office location. You should have:

• A desire to grow your career in sales
• A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• Personal leadership, authenticity, team player, energy richness, and curiosity
• Comfort with operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications

You should have:

• Experience in sales or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Knowledge of Square’s products and services

Skills

Preferred skills include:

• Outbound sales experience
• Email marketing and social media skills
• CRM software proficiency

Pay

Starting pay varies by location based on a cost of labor index. For U.S. roles, see the table below for approximate pay ranges:

• Zone A: $79,768.00
• Zone B: $74,152.00
• Zone C: $70,018.00
• Zone D: $63,700.00
