About the role

Square is seeking a high-energy, motivated professional with strong business insight and natural sales instincts to join our Restaurant or Generalist team. This position will lay the foundation for our Sales Development organization, working with our Sales team to identify new merchants that fit the Square ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Outbound to prospective sellers and promote the value of Square for their business
  • Work with the Sales team to find new merchants that align with the Square ecosystem
  • Understand the diverse needs of merchants and become an expert in Square’s products and services
  • Use a data-driven approach to outbound sales, incorporating prospecting, email communication, and calling at scale
  • Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles
  • Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing, and social selling
  • Promote urgency through a solutions-based sales approach, identifying challenges with businesses and providing targeted value around how Square can help
  • Grow your career in sales through frequent developmental opportunities and mentorship from the Account Executive team
  • Consistently attain and exceed your monthly quotas

Requirements

You must reside within 50 miles of the posted office location. You should have:

  • A desire to grow your career in sales
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Personal leadership, authenticity, team player, energy richness, and curiosity
  • Comfort with operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in sales or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse pipeline of businesses

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $79,768.00 to $63,700.00, depending on location and experience. Target variable compensation is included in the range.
