About the role

Ryan Transportation is a Sales Professional position available at Shamrock Trading Corporation. As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new accounts while strategically expanding relationships with existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently prospect and secure new customers requiring freight brokerage and 3PL services
  • Closely and convert high-potential prospects into long-term clients
  • Build, grow, and maintain strategic relationships with existing customers to maximize account value
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business within current accounts
  • Manage and advance a robust sales pipeline through effective use of CRM for lead handling, call tracking, and opportunity management
  • Serve as an industry expert in transportation logistics, advising clients with insight and credibility
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine sales strategies and drive business growth
  • Oversee customer onboarding, including contract negotiation, account setup, and operational handoff
  • Build strong internal partnerships across departments to ensure flawless service delivery

Requirements

This role requires 2+ years of proven success in high-performance B2B sales, preferably in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related industry. Demonstrated ability to develop and close new business through cold calling, networking, and strategic outreach is essential. A track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive, quota-driven environment is required. Proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management is necessary. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities are crucial. Self-motivation, results orientation, and the ability to thrive with minimal supervision are key traits. Experience in transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or food industries is a plus. Willingness to travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. A professional demeanor and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Knowledge of transportation logistics and industry trends is beneficial.
