Business Development Associate

About the role

WildChina Education is looking for a goal-driven professional to join its Beijing team as a Business Development Associate. We seek a candidate passionate about hands-on learning, sustainability, educational travel, and working with educational institutions. This individual should effortlessly build rapport, thrive in a high-pressure sales environment, and be unafraid to rework best practices to better serve clients. Comfort with virtual meetings and online experiences (e.g., online classes, virtual tours) is essential due to current China border restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and grow our overseas client base
• Market, manage, execute, and expand our virtual programs’ portfolio
• Innovate and improve our product portfolio, programs, and destinations through creative thinking
• Research and develop new business development opportunities
• Generate leads through cold emailing and calling
• Lead networking, branding, and PR initiatives for the company
• Assist the director in shaping overall strategy and team management
• Act as project manager for sold programs, ensuring client satisfaction by coordinating with colleagues to deliver excellent logistical operations and educational value

Requirements

Candidates will be prioritized based on the following, in order of importance:

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (Chinese national candidates prioritized)
• Proven track record in business development or sales (any industry)
• Can-do attitude and enthusiasm for China, Chinese culture, sustainability, and education
• Emotional intelligence and creativity
• Perseverance and ability to learn quickly
• Experience in industries such as education, travel, filmography, historical research, or performing arts (acting)
• Proficiency in general office skills (Microsoft Suite, Zoom, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Based in Beijing
