About the Role
Assists in the planning, documentation, and implementation of a wide variety of activities, projects, and programs to meet the diverse needs and interests of the college community, enhance their collegiate experience outside the classroom, and promote a sense of community at Texas Southmost College.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy administrative dashboards to collect data-backed insights.
- Interpret key business data sets and deliver insights on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements.
- Support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis.
- Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve business processes and decision-making.
- Manage data requests, analyze results, and present findings to leadership.
- Maintain and test various department system software to ensure correct setup.
- Manage daily technology processes for the department.
- Provide technical support to department team members and resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all technology used in the department.
- Develop identified process improvements, automation, and efficiencies.
- Prepare and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly department reports.
- Collaborate with various business functions to ensure project requirements are met.
- Support the team as a backup for specialized functions.
- Participate in the systematic review and evaluation of the Administrative Technology functional area, including the development and monitoring of outcomes and plans of action for improvement.
- Attend the workplace regularly, report to work punctually, and follow a work schedule to meet demands, including evenings, holidays, or weekends depending on deadlines and special events.
- Complete duties in compliance with college standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Use interpersonal skills and sound judgment to collaborate with coworkers, faculty, staff, students, and customers.
- Support the values and institutional goals as defined in the College’s Strategic Plan.
- Promote positive morale and teamwork within the department and provide exceptional customer service.
- Serve on committees as appropriate and as appointed by supervisor.
- Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Texas Southmost College.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, use hands to handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
