Breast Imaging - Academic Clinician - Senior Ranks

About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in Breast Radiology. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision of residents and breast radiology fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.
• Prepare learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.
• Serve in an educational leadership role within the Breast Radiology Division, mentoring junior faculty.
• Utilize the most advanced breast imaging technology available to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for the early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases.
• Conduct high-quality interventional breast procedures, including mammographic, sonographic, and MRI guided biopsies.
• Represent breast radiology to committees of the department, hospital(s) or School of Medicine, serve as Lead Interpreting Physician, develop operational oversight and efficiency, and designated roles within the department.

Requirements

Licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be required.
