About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
The Penn Radiology Cardiovascular Imaging Division offers specialized expertise to the world-renowned Penn Aorta Program. This division handles a high volume and variety of cases, including coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA), CT scans for structural heart disease, TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement), TMVR (transcatheter mitral valve replacement), and TTVR (transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement). Additionally, cardiac MRI is conducted for various clinical indications. The radiologists collaborate closely with cardiologists to provide comprehensive care.
Penn Radiology offers clinical services at several locations: the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Responsibilities
- Interpret all aspects of cardiovascular radiology, including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and vascular CTA and MRA.
- Participate in shared after-hours and weekend coverage.
- Provide daily clinical supervision of residents and cardiovascular imaging fellows.
- Lecture to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.
- Prepare learning materials, lectures, teaching posters, and presentations for national review.
- Serve in an educational leadership role within the Cardiovascular Imaging Division.
- Mentor junior faculty.
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with appropriate sub-specialty training.
- 3-5 years of experience in the field.
