Musculoskeletal Imaging - Academic Clinician - Senior Ranks
About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties.
- The education of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.
- Serve in an administrative, educational leadership role within the Musculoskeletal Imaging division.
- Provide clinical service in the usual clinical skill sets (PF, CT, MRI, arthrograms/joint aspirations).
- Competence in diagnostic MSK US and image-guided tumor biopsies is expected.
- Participate in the Musculoskeletal Imaging off-hours on-call program, including evening, night, and weekend coverage.
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an accomplished educator and be expected to serve in an administrative, educational leadership role within the Musculoskeletal Imaging division.
Skills
Competence in diagnostic MSK US and image-guided tumor biopsies is expected.
